BULLY TO YOU — a cross between The Breakfast Club and The Warriors — is a dark comedy about four popular kids who return to their high school reunion, five years after they bullied a classmate to his suicide. Major anti-bullying legislation has just been passed, and their classmates, fueled by 90s pop-music and spiked punch, are out for blood.
A one-night only benefit for art.party, BULLY TO YOU, a new play by Erica Lipez, directed by Mike Donahue (The Egg-Layers, Williamstown Theater Festival), featured Will Brill (Arcadia, TheatreWorks Palo Alto), Rightor Doyle (Peter and the Star Catchers, Disney Theatricals workshop), Kathleen McElfresh (Pride and Prejudice, Dallas Theater Center), Erica Sullivan (A Woman Of No Importance, Yale Repertory Theater), and Alex Teicheira (Even Maybe Tammy, Flea Theatre) The design team includes set & lighting designer Ji-Youn Chang, costume designer Melissa Trn, and sound designer Tito Fleetwood Ladd. BULLY TO YOU was produced by Roberta Pereira for art.party.theater.company.
